Did you know that for every $100 spent at a local business:

  • $68 remains in local economy. That money goes back into schools, local jobs, and community projects---helping communitites service and thrive!
  • $32 leaves local economy.

For Every $100 Spent At a Non-Locally Owned Business:

  • $43 remains in local economy when you shop at a big-box store.
  • $57 leaves local economy

Here’s why shopping small matters more than ever:

  1. Small businesses create jobs. Rural small businesses provide two out of every three new jobs in their communities, keeping families rooted and Main Streets alive.
  2. Local businesses give back. On average, small businesses donate 250% more to local charities and causes than national chains.
  3. Thriving local economies attract growth. Studies show that when small businesses succeed, property values increase, schools improve, and more entrepreneurs are inspired to invest in the area.
